Think

We have a past and a future
And why is that so?
Well, thinking people will answer
It’s important that we know

The past is all the history
The good and bad that took place
And we maintain the records
To learn how not to disgrace

The errors committed are underlined
And fingers point out the shame
Never again should they happen
In this everlasting game

The Future is a gathering of thinkers
I guess the brilliant kind
Telling us what they think is right
As if we are all blind

Some say the earth is over populated
That we are burning it up as well
Gore sums it up in “An Inconvenient Truth”
Believe him, and you’ll surely wind up in Hell

"My Nick Name"

“My Nick Name”

Nick names can be funny
sometimes embarrassing too
As young ones we all had one
that stayed with us as we grew

These names were not issued
for heroism or deeds were done
they were placed upon our being
by friends that were having fun

My sons had often asked
why my nickname was bestowed
I told them I was honored
by my friends out the Dublin Road

When one son came back from Limerick
he said he had met my peers
He spent a great evening with them
as they sang and drank their beers

"Dad", I asked them why? "Ducker"
was the nickname they gave to you”?
One guy stood up and answered
"You know what it rhymes with",

"Don't You"

"IT'S TIME"

ITS TIME

Its time to send them all back home

Even though it wont look nice

Start with the University Students

And lets not give them choice

Then the Mosques that teaches hate

That enables them to grow

Out of our Countries once and for all

You have forced us to make you go

Sorry guys, its not our fault

Its your people that prompted this

We have no time to debate the issue

As we offer a goodbye kiss

Then go after the money group

That enables their hate to grow

Close them down, hold their cash

Then well see the madness slow

We must remain relentless

In our rout of terrorism

Eliminating cells of hatred

And their mad fanaticism

Where is their religion

When it comes to starving nations

It is out there spewing murder

Instead of offering donations

It is time to end this poem

With a prayer to the world at large

Lets rid the world of all this hate

Let Respect and Peace take charge
